10/02/2011 -- The folks at the Catholic Worker House of Redwood City have now finished their first month receiving their power from the solar electricity system that they installed there with SunWork. 03/23/2011 -- Cupertino's 2011 Earth Day Festival will be held on Saturday, April 9, and SunWork will be there. The event, from 10am to 2pm, will be a day of celebration, education, and action to grow a sustainable community. 01/15/2011 -- SunWork will be making a showing at two upcoming events on the Peninsula: "Solar Options for Your Home", part of Redwood City's Verde Talk green education and mixer series on January 19th, and "A New Approach to Affordable Solar Electricity", a special event by Acterra in Palo Alto on January 31st. 09/09/2010 -- SunThink! 1.2 is now compatible with Scilab 5.2.2, the most recent stable release of its parent platform. With this development, SunThink! is now available to Windows, MacOSX, and Linux users. Click here to get the version of Scilab for your operating system.
09/07/2010 -- SunThink! version 1.2 is now available. In addition to major gains in computational efficiency and a number of minor changes to the user interface to make it more streamlined and robust, version 1.2 introduces more acurate month-to-month cloud-coverage modeling from the addition of asymmetrical model coefficients, the ability to associate multiple shade profile points into a set for more acurate modeling of the impact of partial shading on series strings of modules, and the option of more precise dynamic month-to-month temperature adjustment of predicted system output by using local historical average daily high temperature information together with commonly published module nominal operating temperature and maximum power temperature coefficient values. It can be downloaded here.

10/03/2008 -- The U.S. Congress has extended the existing federal tax credit on solar installations, which had been set to expire at the end of 2008, for 8 more years. (Hooray!) The legislation also expands on the credit in several ways, including the removal of a $2,000 cap that had applied to all residential installations.
